slowly,
softly,
their lips touch.

oddly enough,
they were sent here
to ensure their kind's survival
so for them to turn out this way
is certainly ironic
because biology
won't let them breed and on
top of that
they are doing just what their kind
had hoped they wouldn't
had told them not to
and usually will hate them for.

all of this
slides off of fifteen-year-olds,
as it should
because they don't deserve such pressure.
they deserve to make decisions
and fall in love
for the first time twice.
